The Indigenous Peoples Rights International (IPRI), stand in solidarity with the ethnic nationalities and ethnic groups, and civil society of Burma/Myanmar in their fight for the restoration of democracy, peace, and justice in the country. The Indigenous Peoples of Myanmar are known as ethnic nationalities and ethnic groups of more than 130 groups, which comprise the 30 percent of the total population.

With anger, repudiation, and pain, we inform and denounce before the entities of the Colombian State, international organizations, and the general  public  that:

Today, the indigenous leader of the Nasa people, Sandra Liliana Peña Chocué, who was the governor of Laguna Siberia, municipality of Caldono, Norte del Cauca, was assassinated.

We, Indigenous Peoples Rights International (IPRI), Narasha Community Development Group (NCDG) and the Maasai peoples in Kitet community, are calling for support to the plight of the Maasai peoples in defending their ancestral lands against Kedong Ranch Limited, a corporation that acquired lease to their 75,000-acre lands since the 1970s.  Kedong Ranch Ltd. currently has 23 shareholders, including members of the family of the current President, Uhuru Kenyatta.

Deadly operations through coordinated police and military actions on Indigenous Peoples under Duterte’s regime in the Philippines must stop

We the undersigned organisations across the world condemn the apparently extrajudicial execution of 9 Indigenous leaders, and the illegal arrest of 17 additional leaders and members of Tumanduk nga Mangunguma nga Nagapangapin sa Duta kag Kabuhi (TUMANDUK). The massacre took place in various villages in Tapaz, Capiz and Calinog, Iloilo in Panay Island, through a coordinated police and military operation on 30th December. We the undersigned organisations stand in solidarity with the Tumanduk of Tapaz, Capiz and Calinog, Iloilo in condemning the incident and seeking justice for the victims.

With this letter we, the undersigned organisations, wish to express our concern and show our solidarity with the Indigenous Mro communities, who right now are facing eviction from their ancestral lands as well as other human rights violations.
